March Theme + Request Post

Recs can be posted to this community at any time, so if you've stumbled over something great, no need to wait to rec it! In addition, however, we have monthly themes and seasonal challenges. Our February theme is now officially closed, and our theme for March is:


The Master // Missing Scenes

"I am known as the Master. Universally." (The Master, Terror of the Autons)

Time for a focus on the Doctor's best enemy, that other renegade Time Lord known only as Tremas Sir Giles Estram Missy Rev. Magister O the Master! All and any incarnations welcome. Or you can rec works that illuminate missing moments and scenes that canon skipped over. Or, of course, both at the same time.

Post your recs to the community in the normal way any time from now until midnight on 31st March 2020 in your timezone. (See Info & Guidelines for posting template and instructions). Recs posted for monthly themes have their own tag with banners at the end of the year for reccers who posted something for at least six out of the twelve themes over the year.

When making your post, make sure you add the tag "other: monthly theme". (The mods will take care of any other needed tags, as usual, but which challenge/theme a rec is for could easily be missed.)


The current Seasonal Challenge is Alphabet Soup, ongoing till 22nd June 2020!

In addition, anyone may make requests for any recs they want. (e.g. "Fourth Doctor fic, not on Teaspoon," "Cheerful Bill Potts artwork," "Leela vid," "recent Ten/Rose," etc. etc.,) If you are only interested in one medium, don't forget to specify fic/art/vid/mix/icons/podfic etc. in your request.

Creator's Summary: What was she supposed to say? No, just clothing four teenage aliens that I’m trying to sneak unnoticed through the middle of London. Yes, aliens are real, yes, it’s all very dangerous and what-have-you. Anyway, have a lovely afternoon!

Reasons for reccing: This is a great adventure for Sarah Jane from just before SJA starts. It's a pretty standard SJA friendly aliens story, which is good enough on its own. But what makes it particularly interesting is that it involves Sarah Jane dealing with teenagers before she spends a lot of time with them and gets comfortable with them.
