Title: Until I See You Again
Creator: [archiveofourown.org profile] AstroGirl
Rating: General
Word Count/Length/Size: 3234 words
Creator's Summary: Jo writes letters. Eventually, the Doctor responds.
Characters/Pairings: Jo Grant/Cliff Jones, Fourteenth Doctor
Warnings/Notes: None

Reasons for reccing: For the Epistolary square on my bingo card. You can really hear the character's voices in the letters, and feel how much the Doctor and Jo still care about each other.

Title: Home Cooking
Creator: [archiveofourown.org profile] AstroGirl
Rating: General
Word Count/Length/Size: 1944 words
Creator's Summary: The Doctor runs away from home. Donna saves him some dinner.
Characters/Pairings: Fourteenth Doctor, Donna Noble
Warnings/Notes: None

Reasons for reccing: It's a lovely look at the Doctor being on Earth and how feels about it and how he deals with it. And also his relationship with Donna, which is both sweet and amusing.

Title: Me, Myself, and I
Creator: [archiveofourown.org profile] AstroGirl
Rating: G
Word Count/Length/Size: 7402 words
Creator's Summary: It was only a matter of time before Clara stumbled across one of her echoes.
Characters/Pairings: Clara Oswald, Clara splinter & Me/Ashildr
Warnings/Notes: None.

Reasons for reccing: For 2012, the year we first met two Clara splinters. This is a wonderful missing adventure in which Clara, inevitably, finally runs into one of her splintered selves. It's excellently done with a beautiful intro, a fun plot and pitch perfect voices.

Title: Save the Date
Creator: [archiveofourown.org profile] astrogirl
Rating: Gen
Word Count/Length/Size: 1,811 words
Creator's Summary: The Brigadier has quite a few messages on his answering machine today. And all of them are from the same person. Well, more or less.
Characters/Pairings: Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart, Doris Lethbridge-Stewart, Third Doctor, Fourth Doctor, Fifth Doctor, Sixth Doctor, Seventh Doctor
Warnings/Notes: none

Reasons for reccing: The Brigadier, retired and just returned from a holiday, finds a lot of messages from the Doctor on his answering machine. This was written for the "Unsent Letters" exchange in 2022 and the concept is just great, super well executed, and so much fun to read. Lovely and hilarious.

(It is set sometime after the Seventh Doctor episode "Battlefield" - from the Brigadier's point of view, anyway! - which means it technically takes place in 1989, BUT, since that year is already covered, I'm submitting it for 1968, the year when one Alistair Lethbridge-Stewart first appeared. Also fits this month's multi-era theme!)

Title: For Destruction, Ice
Creator: astrogirl on Teaspoon/ [archiveofourown.org profile] AstroGirl/ [livejournal.com profile] astrogirl2
Rating: Teen
Word Count 1003
Creator's Summary: Combines two requests: "Something where the Master takes on Lucy as a companion and wife without anything so underhanded as mind control and the like" and "the Master takes Lucy to Utopia."
Characters/Pairings: The Master (Simm/Harry Saxon)/Lucy Saxon
Warnings/Notes: none

Reasons for reccing: A take on how Lucy met Harry and how she learned Harry was much more than he seemed.

Title: ...and round she goes...
Creator: [archiveofourown.org profile] AstroGirl
Rating: General
Word Count/Length/Size: 3919 words
Creator's Summary: That little spark from the wiring was probably fine. That seasick feeling is probably fine. The way time keeps repeating itself is... Oh. Wait. That might actually not be fine.
Characters/Pairings: Thirteenth Doctor, Graham O'Brien, Ryan Sinclair, Yasmin Khan, The Doctor's TARDIS
Warnings/Notes: None

Reasons for reccing: It's an interesting time loop where things aren't quite the same each time and the Doctor remembers.

Title: Stargazer
Creator: [archiveofourown.org profile] unknown-kadath
Rating: Gen
Word Count/Length/Size: 4881 words
Creator's Summary: The Doctor erased her memories, but in her heart, Donna never quite forgot.
Characters/Pairings: Donna Noble, Shawn Temple, Wilfred Mott, Sylvia Noble, Eleventh Doctor, Original Characters
Warnings/Notes: none

Reasons for reccing: A bittersweet story about Donna's life after she is back on earth, told in ten spotlights, each with their own subtitle. I especially appreciate that it fleshes out Shawn, Donna's relationship with him, and what they do with their life together: from setting up the Starlight Foundation with their lottery money to starting a family that keeps the longing for the stars going forth. They also get visited by the Doctor Incognito (more or less) - Eleven as we know him, and then Twelve and Thirteen as envisioned by the author.

Title: Navigable Waters
Creator: [archiveofourown.org profile] AstroGirl
Rating: Gen
Word Count/Length/Size: 4056 words
Creator's Summary: A "Journey's End" fixit, courtesy of the Seventh Doctor.
Characters/Pairings: Donna Noble, Seventh Doctor, Wilfred Mott
Warnings/Notes: none

Reasons for reccing: As it says in the summary, this one is a fix-it in which Donna gets her memories back, courtesy of the Seventh Doctor. I really like the changing POVs, the Seventh Doctor (who is notably different from the Tenth here), Donna, and even Wilf getting to tell their experience with the situation. The explanation for why the Doctor is able to fix it here when he couldn't later/earlier is fine by me and I really like the images used for the two-minds-in-one scenario, especially because Donna has her own:

excerpt that made me laugh )

It even solves the problem of Ten not remembering what his previous self did.

And one other, for the theme of 'new,' it being newly posted (or at least it was when I first saw it and meant to rec it here...)

Title: The Existential Angst of the Daleks
Creator: [personal profile] astrogirl / [archiveofourown.org profile] AstroGirl
Rating: Teen
Word Count/Length/Size: 300
Creator's Summary: Just a Dalek, up to the usual Dalek awfulness. Nothing to see here. For your own safety, please move along.
Characters/Pairings: Daleks
Warnings/Notes: None, save for Dalek POV.

Reasons for reccing: Just in time for a Hallowe'en, here's a thoroughly disturbing and cleverly done look inside one of those bubbling lumps of hate we call the Daleks... *gives a shiver*

This one fits both the "Magic" square on my bingo card and this month's theme.

Title: Two Devils Dancing
Creator: [archiveofourown.org profile] AstroGirl ([personal profile] astrogirl)
Rating: General Audiences
Word Count/Length/Size: 7908
Creator's Summary: The Master finds himself stranded in the Enchanted Forest, unable to repair a vital component of his TARDIS. But if it's true that any sufficiently advanced magic is indistinguishable from technology, as well as vice versa, he may be able to find someone who can help him.
Characters/Pairings: The Master (Delgado), Rumplestiltskin (OUaT)
Warnings/Notes: None, other than some spoilers for S1 of OUaT.

Reasons for reccing: The interactions between these two are a delight to read throughout, as are all the details of the Master's frustration with this "backwards cesspit of a world," the concepts of magic and science - and the ironically inevitable way that the two villains are thwarted by their own natures. Two devils dancing, indeed.
