Reasons for reccing: This is a very fun adventure fic, featuring a clever plot, some great hurt/comfort moments, and Seven being very scary when Ace is hurt. As per usual, the Doctor and Ace have gotten into some trouble have to work together and trust each other to get out of it. This fic explores their relationship and their trust for each other, while also incorporating a lot of fun undercover tropes. Plus an interesting exploration of the Doctor’s use of mental manipulation in particular.

Title: Les Fleurs Du Mal

But with Ace's increasingly strange dreams, a hyper-empathetic consultant who can't seem to empathize quite so well any more, and one Doctor Hannibal Lecter in the mix, the murders may be the least of their problems...

Warnings/Notes: Graphic depictions of violence, body horror, serial murder and cannibalism.
Reasons for reccing: I loved the depiction of Seven and Ace's relationship and Ace is an adult in this fic and her characterization is such a natural progression from where we leave her in Season 26. This fic has some absolutely fantastic Seven & Ace characterization, great drama, some wonderful protective Seven moments, as well as some really good hurt/comfort moments.

This fic is a crossover with the recent Hannibal TV show, but I was able to enjoy it and my only experience with the show was what my mutuals on Tumblr post about it. As long as you're familiar with the basic premise of the show, you should be fine. It is fascinating to see how the Doctor and Ace react to being thrown into a much darker universe than the one we normally see them in.

Reasons for reccing: This is an absolutely fantastic outsider perspective on Ace and the Doctor. I love seeing a relatively "normal" member of an alien society's perspective on them and what they get up to. It has a lot of really sweet moments and fascinating observations on Seven and his relationship with Ace.

This wonderful fic was gifted to me as part of the Chocolate Box Exchange this year. It is also is my third rec for the "Claim a Character" challenge.

Reasons for reccing: This is such a well-characterized and poignant depiction of Ace’s life and her relationship with the Doctor, as well as a great combination of fantasy and sci-fi elements. Selkie!Ace fit surprisingly well for her character.
