I am woefully behind on my bingo card reccing (partially due to something I'll be announcing on
whofic soon ...), so it's past time to rec this gem for my wild card slot:
Title: News From St. Michael's, Parish of Devil's End
Creator: johmichaels
Rating: All Ages
Word Count/Length/Size: 2,234
Creator's Summary: What was happening at Devil's End just prior to the story "The Daemons"? What was life for residents of the small village with a brand new vicar, and all the excitement of an upcoming BBC 3 film crew coming to the town? Thankfully, Parish Secretary Miss June Skibblehorn has prepared the monthly newsletter as she has done every month, featuring the latest news, and a column by the Reverend Magister himself.
Characters/Pairings: Delgado!Master
Warnings/Notes: none
Reasons for reccing: If the Master posed as a village vicar, surely he must have been responsible for the church newsletter, yes? It begins with the parish secretary's cheerful but eventually unsettled descriptions of her first meeting with the Reverend Magister, and then becomes everything what you'd expect from the Master: a smooth opening, some passive-aggressive and increasingly snide remarks buried in the text, and of course, a vitally important command all the parishioners must obey. I expect those of you who grew up with church newsletters will find this even funnier than I did, and I laughed all the way through it.
