Taking a break from the bingo to post my favourite crossover for the monthly theme!

Title: Angels in the Architecture
Creator: [archiveofourown.org profile] trace_of_scarlet
Rating: Teen and Up Audiences
Word Count/Length/Size: 2966 words
Creator's Summary: Jack Harkness has been buried – sometimes alive, sometimes dead – under Cardiff for centuries. Eventually, this was bound to attract attention from someone who TALKS LIKE THIS.
Characters/Pairings: Jack Harkness, Death (Discworld)
Warnings/Notes: A Torchwood/Discworld crossover. Warnings: Graphic Descriptions of Violence (the archive warning used), and more specifically: triggers for burial alive. The author warns very strongly about this in the notes. I didn't find it too disturbing though I'm super squeamish, but I don't have a particular fear about burial alive, so anyone who does, or has other triggers about it, should heed the warnings. Spoilers for Torchwood S2 finale (Exit Wounds).

Reasons for reccing: Discworld crossovers are often a delight, but one that just begs to be made is Jack Harkness getting to spend time with everyone's favourite bony all-caps reaper man. This one gets him to meet Death during the events of Exit Wounds, and it's just gold. The story is both humorous and touching, fitting both Discworld and Jack Harkness. And it helps explain why Jack doesn't go batshit crazy from the things that happen to him in Exit Wounds (one of the things canon forgets to do).

Below, I'm providing an excerpt in the case you need more convincing. But it's even more delightful to read it in the context of the whole fic, so I'm putting it under a cut.
