Reasons for reccing: Donna is one of my absolute favorite companions and I think her story is probably one of the most well written character arc in the show. And this vid is just an absolutely mesmerizing and heartbreaking vid about Donna’s story. It’s just an absolutely brilliant tribute to this character and her story.

His suffering and his desire to brush it off flicker repeatedly before our eyes, suffused with the vidder's compassion for his dilemma, the cruelty of immortality. She singles out his endurance rather than his arrogance or absurdity, and the piling-up of evidence will make you ache for the Doctor and those he leaves behind.

It really captures the tragedy of their love with the song choice, because as the Doctor was falling in love with River, she was “already gone” since he had already said goodbye to her. The lyrics “we were always meant to say goodbye” just perfectly captures the tragedy of this pair because they always knew that they would inevitably end, and the vidder does a great job of using this song in combination with various clips and great editing to create a really heartfelt and emotional tribute to the pairing.

Creator's Summary: I wanted to make this video for a long time. The theme of the Time War is one of the strongest in Doctor Who. And I really hope that I was able to show all the pain from what happened.

Reasons for reccing: This is a brilliantly haunting, inspiring, and hopeful vid. It perfectly captures the Doctor’s trauma and anger over the Time War and the justification that he felt in committing it at the time. The vid portrays a really wonderful journey of the Doctor, from his destruction of the Time Lords to the day he decides to save them. I was never the greatest fan of the 50th Doctor Who special, and I still have some complicated feelings over it, but this vid gave me an appreciation and understanding of that episode and how it fit into the Doctor’s journey in a really enlightening and hopeful way.
