Title: Donna Noble | I’m nothing special.
Creator: Margarita Life
Rating: G
Word Count/Length/Size: 5:27 minutes
Creator's Summary: "...She was the most important woman in the whole wide universe..."
Characters/Pairing: Donna Noble
Warnings/Notes: Major Spoilers for S4, Major Angst & Pain; You will cry.
Reasons for reccing: Donna is one of my absolute favorite companions and I think her story is probably one of the most well written character arc in the show. And this vid is just an absolutely mesmerizing and heartbreaking vid about Donna’s story. It’s just an absolutely brilliant tribute to this character and her story.

Title: How many seconds in eternity?
Creator:
Margarita3710
Rating: Gen
Length: 5:09 minutes
Creator's Summary: "...How long can I keep doing this?..."
Characters/Pairings: All NuWho Doctors and brief cameos by companions
Warnings/Notes: melancholy
Reasons for reccing:
Margarita Life is one of my favorite Who vidders, emotionally focused and powerful, adept at juxtaposing images and choosing relevant snippets of dialogue. This vid could be seen as a complement to the previous rec; its subject is loss and loneliness, the true constants of the Doctor's endless life. His suffering and his desire to brush it off flicker repeatedly before our eyes, suffused with the vidder's compassion for his dilemma, the cruelty of immortality. She singles out his endurance rather than his arrogance or absurdity, and the piling-up of evidence will make you ache for the Doctor and those he leaves behind.

Title: Doctor and River | Already Gone
Creator: Margarita Life
Rating: G
Word Count/Length/Size: 3:36 minutes
Creator's Summary: "... You couldn't have loved me better..."
Characters/Pairing: The Doctor/River Song, Tenth Doctor/River Song, Eleventh Doctor/River Song, Twelfth Doctor/River,
Warnings/Notes: N/A
Reasons for reccing: This is a really beautiful, tragic, and heartbreaking vid that covers the love story of the Doctor & River Song from beginning to end. It really captures the tragedy of their love with the song choice, because as the Doctor was falling in love with River, she was “already gone” since he had already said goodbye to her. The lyrics “we were always meant to say goodbye” just perfectly captures the tragedy of this pair because they always knew that they would inevitably end, and the vidder does a great job of using this song in combination with various clips and great editing to create a really heartfelt and emotional tribute to the pairing.

Title: Gallifrey Falls No More
Creator: Margarita Life
Rating: G
Word Count/Length/Size: 5:12 minutes
Creator's Summary: I wanted to make this video for a long time. The theme of the Time War is one of the strongest in Doctor Who. And I really hope that I was able to show all the pain from what happened.
Characters/Pairing: The Doctor (9, 10, 11, 12 & War Doctor)
Warnings/Notes: None
Reasons for reccing: This is a brilliantly haunting, inspiring, and hopeful vid. It perfectly captures the Doctor’s trauma and anger over the Time War and the justification that he felt in committing it at the time. The vid portrays a really wonderful journey of the Doctor, from his destruction of the Time Lords to the day he decides to save them. I was never the greatest fan of the 50th Doctor Who special, and I still have some complicated feelings over it, but this vid gave me an appreciation and understanding of that episode and how it fit into the Doctor’s journey in a really enlightening and hopeful way.

Title: Doctor Who | The Greatest Adventure (55th Anniversary)
Creator: Margarita Life
Rating: N/A
Word Count/Length/Size: 20:30
Creator's Summary: "With this video, I want to say thank you to the series, creators, actors for changing my life, for giving the world magic! Happy 55th Anniversary!"
Characters/Pairings: Basically everyone :)
Warnings/Notes: N/A
Reasons for reccing: The level of knowledge of the show that must be required to construct a vid like this – with all its links, parallels, and themes spanning five decades – is just extraordinary. This is 55 years of Doctor Who distilled into 20 minutes, by the always wonderful Margarita Life. The essence of the show is all here, with sections devoted to who The Doctor is, the companions, the Tardis, the War, and all the moral complexities of the Doctor's journey. All the eras have been woven together by perfectly chosen lines, and the whole thing is just a joy to watch.

P.S. Apologies, I only just found this comm, so I'm a day late for the multi-era theme! But I thought this vid was good enough to rec anyway ♥
