For my Bingo Square "Heaven/Hell".
Title: Life Unexpected
Creator:
coralysendria
Rating: Gen
Word Count/Length/Size: 10.039 words
Creator's Summary: "You know, I've been up and down your timeline, meeting all those silly people who died to keep you alive."
It wasn't just strangers that ended up in the Nethersphere. Some of the Doctor's friends ended up there, too. But the Doctor's friends are still the Doctor's friends, even if they're no longer conventionally alive, so they're not necessarily going to follow Missy's plans...
Characters/Pairings: Missy, Seb, Jack Harkness, Oswin Oswald, Osgood, Jenny Flint, Adric, Lobus Caecilius, Harriet Jones, Simm!Master, the Brigadier (Alistair Lethbridge-Stewart), River Song, Amy Pond, Rory Williams
Warnings/Notes: canonical and extrapolated character deaths, afterlife
Reasons for reccing: Wonderful and inventive exploration of an uncharted corner of canon. I love this for the wide and sometimes surprising array of characters who end up meeting Missy and/or Seb, who react to the Nethersphere in different ways, and who sometimes even meet each other. They all feel very much like themselves and the story manages to combine a lot of different beats, from funny and nostalgic, over poignant and surprising, to uncanny and sad.
