Put this together for my bingo square "episode related", also fits the new "angst" theme for this month.

Title: Bird
Creator: [tumblr.com profile] mogamoka
Rating: gen
Creator's Summary: n.a.
Characters/Pairings: Twelfth Doctor
Warnings/Notes: none
Reasons for reccing: Takes the Doctor's bird story and runs with it. I love how this manages to pack so much into one picture: the Doctor as the bird of his story, stuck in a cage, looking up at the stars and the raven, the collection of skulls at his feet, and holding mortality in his hands. Clara's maple leaf amongst the falling feathers, the two things symbolizing the beginning and the end of her story, while the Doctor is caged in by his grief for her and by his desire to change death.

Title: I Confess
Creator: [deviantart.com profile] luluha
Rating: gen
Creator's Summary: n.a.
Characters/Pairings: Twelfth Doctor, The Veil
Warnings/Notes: none
Reasons for reccing: This is incredibly striking - I love the intense colours, the stars, the hint of the confession dial in the background, and the defiant look on Twelve's face.

Title: Heaven Sent
Creator: [deviantart.com profile] AliceBlakeArt
Rating: gen
Creator's Summary: n.a.
Characters/Pairings: Twelfth Doctor
Warnings/Notes: none
Reasons for reccing: Similar ingredients - Twelve, the veil, the confession dial - but different mood and colour scheme: This one looks like it's haunted, the Doctor on the verge of becoming ghost-like between the skulls and the Veil.

Title: Bill and Heather
Creator: [tumblr.com profile] mogamoka)
Rating: -
Word Count/Length/Size: -
Creator's Summary: Bill - and Heather.
Characters/Pairings: Bill Potts (+ implied Bill/Heather)

Reasons for reccing: Bill Potts standing in the rain, and smiling. A truly lovely piece of Bill artwork, featuring that lovely, hopeful smile of hers that fills every place with light. The artist has occasionally been employed even for official Doctor Who related things, such as some of the recent 'Women Who Lived' material, and looking at how wonderful her stuff is, I don't wonder why. (And no, you don't actually see Heather the girl in the picture, but well, she is present...) For my "female-centric" challenge claim.

Title: Tell Me Stories and Give Me Stars
Creator: [tumblr.com profile] mogamoka
Rating: Gen
Characters/Pairings: Twelve/Missy (Doctor/Master)
Warnings/Notes: none

Reasons for reccing: This is a lovely four-part comic about the Doctor and Missy and their time in the vault (with a flashforward to the season 10 finale). There's a lot of melancholy and a bit of fragile hope, and it has a fascinating take on the passage of time and the role of memories. I like the sense that both of them have lived and known each other for a long time and that this is one special episode within that, with lots before and lots to come. I particularly like that it starts out with the Doctor narrating, telling us about Missy and her time in the vault, followed by a middle part without a narrator (but with a beautiful bit that parallels both of their "deaths" in the finale), and concludes with Missy taking over the narration and responding to it. Really love the art style, too, the simple black and white, the mix of close-ups and long shots, and the dynamic cut of the panels.
