Reasons for reccing: I wouldn't want the 'short' theme for this month to prevent anyone reccing longer Nine fic, so I've fished up an old one but a very good one. It's set pre-Rose for the Doctor and is perfectly in character for both canons (no mean feat when one of them is Austen), and is a wonderful read, and is both humorous and bittersweet.
