Title: Tardis through the Ages
Creator:
umanimo
Rating: Gen
Word Count/Length/Size: 11 Paintings
Creator's Summary: -
Characters/Pairings: Doctors One to Eleven, Tardis
Warnings/Notes: none
Reasons for reccing: This is such a fantastic series of paintings. I love all the different styles - so well executed, so many great ideas and details! - and I love that Umanimo didn't just go for a chronological order here but put all the Doctors in time periods and art styles that seem like a good fit for them. Six Kandinsky Style? Cubist Eleven? Flute-playing Two on a Greek Vase? Klimt Style Eight? Graffiti Nine? All of them work beautifully and it's a joy to look at the whole series.
Reccing this for the monthly History Theme - it's kind of Art History, but it's also easy to imagine the Doctors all visiting "their" time period and being immortalized by the local artist. :-D
