Warnings/Notes: some dark subject matter, era-typical attitudes to race and class. I'm reccing this for my "work" prompt on my bingo square.

Reasons for reccing: A great character piece of Martha Jones during this episode when she and the Doctor are hiding. She works as a maid, taking up this role and dealing with the circumstances and prejudices of this time period. I think this really deeply expresses Martha's feelings, but still keeping her in-character as strong and determined. A perfect little Martha Jones story.

Creator's Summary: This artwork was my contribution to the fanzine about the 12th Doctor and Clara Oswald for the benefit of One to One Children’s Fund.

My intention was to create a farewell scene between Clara and 12th in which they shared a long moment together in the last place where they were (I was dissatisfied with the farewell of the Christmas episode).

That’s why I painted a warm scene. A beautiful moment between two good companions. I hope you like it!

Reasons for reccing: I really like these scene here and I agree with the creator that this would have been a better farewell scene between the Doctor and Clara as they meant so much to each other. I love the diner setting, and even though the doctor is regenerating, he's smiling while in Clara's presence. It's really a beautiful artwork too, with great character portraits, color and lighting.

Reasons for reccing: Okay I admit, I'm a sucker for this pairing. Eight is my favorite Doctor and the moment he met River Song on the Big Finish audios I was enamored by them. Anyway, this piece is so lovely. It's touching and beautiful and could totally happen. The artist displays a lovely moment of comfort from River (from the data core, no doubt) to Eight. It's beautiful and sad. I love that the black and white color scheme choice here too. It definitely evokes the perfect mood for the subject matter.

Reasons for reccing: This is so brilliantly done that it looks like it was officially made by the BBC. The vidder has masterfully melded these two fandoms together where it looks like Sherlock and the Doctor are actually interacting and talking. It's almost a terrible tease because this is a crossover that would so totally work and the vidder shows us that. I'm just super impressed by the skill behind this vid.
