Reasons for reccing: The Brigadier, retired and just returned from a holiday, finds a lot of messages from the Doctor on his answering machine. This was written for the "Unsent Letters" exchange in 2022 and the concept is just great, super well executed, and so much fun to read. Lovely and hilarious.

(It is set sometime after the Seventh Doctor episode "Battlefield" - from the Brigadier's point of view, anyway! - which means it technically takes place in 1989, BUT, since that year is already covered, I'm submitting it for 1968, the year when one Alistair Lethbridge-Stewart first appeared. Also fits this month's multi-era theme!)

Reasons for reccing: I adore the art style of this piece - it's basically just the gang standing in a forest with a lovely autumnal colour palette, but the intricate details are amazing: the way the forest frames them and feels alive around them, all the flowers and branches and birds, and the shadows in the distance. Channeling the Time Vortex and following the threads, she not only becomes the Ninth Doctor's Bad Wolf, but also the War Doctor's Moment - the latter in more ways than one even, thanks to the Tardis. It's lovely how things intertwine here (the title is very apt).

You always wanted to see the library on board? Here you can! Did you know there's also a huge greenhouse, with a swing and a beautiful view of the stars? Yep. You also get Eight in star-covered pyjamas, Charley in her private room, C'rizz connecting with a couple of plants - and much more! You can spend a long time looking at these and it's well worth it. Definitely one of my favourite sets of DW art ever.

Reasons for reccing: Sometimes you just want a singing-out-loud, no-holds-barred ship vid and this is just that for Twelve and Clara. I love that it's told from Clara's POV, showing us how she slowly falls for - or lets herself fall for - Twelve and his personality, and also how intertwined this is with adventuring and a Doctor-y way of life. The editing is lovely and some of the clip choices just made me grin.
