Recs can be posted to this community at any time, but in addition we have monthly themes and seasonal challenges. Our July theme is now officially closed, and here is our theme for August:
Crossovers
GULLIVER: "What became of my companions I cannot tell. They were all lost."
DOCTOR: "Oh, my dear sir, you and I are in the same boat."
For August, we're looking for your favourite crossovers! Doctor Who, given its go-anywhere format, is a natural fandom for crossovers, where characters from one fandom meet characters from another, or visit each other's worlds.
(These should generally be straight crossovers rather than fusions (where two fandoms are merged), and cross Doctor Who with fandoms outside its own universe, although I realise there are some cases where the lines are very blurry in both those cases, and that's fine.)
Post your recs to the community in the normal way any time from now until midnight on 31 August 2018 in your timezone. (See Info & Guidelines for posting template and instructions). Recs posted for monthly themes have their own tag with banners every six months for reccers who posted something for every theme in that time.
When making your post, make sure you add the tag "other: monthly theme". (The mods will take care of any other needed tags, as usual, but which challenge/theme a rec is for could easily be missed.)
Request List
In addition, anyone may make requests for any recs they are keen to see. (e.g. "Fourth Doctor fic, not on Teaspoon," "Cheerful Bill Potts artwork," "Leela vid," "recent Ten/Rose," etc. etc.,) If you are only interested in one medium, don't forget to specify fic/art/vid/mix/icons/podfic etc. in your request.
Simply make your requests in the comments here to be added to the list. (Anon commenting is on.)
Our current Seasonal Challenge is a Reccer's Bingo - sign-up here. You have until the end of August!
Any other questions? Please ask here or at the Info & Guidelines post, or PM the mod.
