Reasons for reccing: One commenter called this a slice of life fic and I guess for the Doctor and Missy, it is one indeed. Written between seasons eight and nine, it beautifully captures all the complexities of their characters and their relationship at that point. I love the dialogue, which is surprising and spot-on, funny and touching. And I really love this take on Missy, the twisted, possessive affection, the disdain and casual destructiveness, the whimsy and the anger that the Doctor is uniquely able to elicit in her.
