Reasons for reccing: The Tenth Doctor arrives at Torchwood Three, shortly after the loss of Tosh and Owen. Little does Ten know there are creatures Torchwood are investigating that have a vendetta against him. Not only is this a rollicking vampire tale, it also takes you through Jack's feelings as Ten does battle against these vampires. To be honest, I like this novel-length fic better than some of the official tie-in novels and short story collections out there--it feels like an adventure that could've been written if Torchwood didn't go for a more serious angle with Children of Earth.

Ooh, this sounds super interesting, thank you for the rec! I've marked it for later, since I don't have time for a novel-length fic right now, but this sounds just like the kind of thing I've been looking for, and the opening paragraphs seemed promising. Vampires are a hit and miss for me, but this one might work. :-)
