Reasons for reccing: I usually only like videos that fit the picture to the words. This one doesn't, but instead it tells a story of Barbara going from scared of the unknown and wanting to go home, to taking on whatever she's faced with. It reminded me of how great she is, but also how human.

September Theme + Request Post

Recs can be posted to this community at any time, so if you've stumbled over something great, no need to wait to rec it!

In addition, however, we have monthly themes and seasonal challenges. Apologies for being so late - rl overtook me for a while, but August's theme is now officially closed, and the theme for September is:

Sixth Doctor // Seasons

"Look at it this way. Planets come and go, stars perish. Matter disperses, coalesces, reforms into other patterns, other worlds. Nothing can be eternal. " (The Mysterious Planet.)

September is for Six and for Seasons, so it's time to pull out your favourite fanworks featuring anyone and anything from Six's era(s), or works that are set in specific seasons, or are currently in-season, or explore the theme in any way you like (such as passing of seasons, time etc.). Or, as ever, both at the same time!

Post your recs to the community in the normal way any time from now until midnight on 30th Sept 2021 in your timezone. (See Info & Guidelines for posting template and instructions). Recs posted for monthly themes have their own tag with banners at the end of the year for reccers who posted something for at least six out of the twelve themes over the year.

When making your post, add the tag "other: monthly theme". (The mods will take care of any other needed tags, as usual, but which challenge/theme a rec is for could easily be missed.)


Our current Seasonal Challenge is Claim A Sip, which is still open until 19th Dec 2021 for claims and posting!
