Author's Summary: No matter how hard he tries, Turlough can't get away.

Characters/Pairings: Fifth Doctor/Vislor Turlough

Warnings: Heavily implied past abuse, especially sexual abuse.

Reasons for reccing: This is probably my favorite Doctor Who fic in existence, for a variety of reasons. First, Turlough is written exceptionally well. Turlough's past is touched on in-depth, and as a person with PTSD, it's the most accurate depiction of trauma in fan work that I've ever read. Secondly, it shows a gentle relationship between Turlough and the Doctor, which is refreshing. It's just an overall well written fic; I love it, and i want others to know about it too.

Welcome post

Hello and welcome to tardis_library! This comm exists as I was pining for the fjords calufrax - also reccing is fun and useful and can build up to a valuable resource as it goes along.

Reccing on tardis_library is open to all members, who may rec all types of fanworks posted on any (accessible) platform from any Doctor Who-related fandoms. Wherever the good stuff is, please share it here!

We will also have both monthly themes and seasonal challenges, which will be marked out with their own tags, and with achievement banners. These should hopefully be fun and help those who (like me) need a little push or a deadline or two to actually get posting. You may join in or not as you please, and it's always okay to post general recs.

I am currently pimping the community about the place (with apologies for the inevitable spammage). If you would like to promote it on your own journal or any other communities, that would be much appreciated. If you're on tumblr, there's a rebloggable post here - I'd be especially grateful to anyone who can reblog that, as my tumblr circle of influence is pretty tiny. In the future, I hope to investigate some means of also crossposting to/from tumblr, but in the meantime you'll need to have a (free) Dreamwidth account to post.)
