Rating (“Rating” in bold): Teen and up Audiences I’d say?
Word Count/Length/Size (“Word Count/Length/Size” in bold) Currently 75 episodes, typically 1-1.5 hours each
Creator's Summary (“Creator’s summary” in bold): The Game of Rassilon is one of those “actual-play” podcasts, except instead of playing D&D or Pathfinder we’re playing Doctor Who: The Roleplaying Game by Cubicle 7. Telling stories with a unique Doctor exploring time and space with a crew of unlikely companions, with an emphasis on great stories and, we hope, big laughs.
Pairings/Characters (“Pairings/Characters” in bold): Original Doctor, original companions (Travis Killian, Carrie Vu, and Lita), Literally Amelia Earhart, Original Romana
Warnings/Notes (“Warnings/Notes” in bold): Violence at about the same level as the show throughout, temporary major character death. A lot of warnings that I can think of only apply to a few serials so if you need/want additional warnings let me know and I’ll tell you.
Reasons for reccing (“Reasons for reccing” in bold): I’m submitting this for the “Other Doctors” theme and [personal profile] lurking_latinist ’s “unconventional fanworks” request. This is a really great podcast, it’s pretty silly at the beginning but becomes more serious and plotty as it goes on, though the jokes never stop entirely. All the players are great and bounce off each other well, and it’s obvious that they enjoy playing together. Season 4 started on June 1, so it’s a great time to get caught up.

Would you mind fixing the bad username or site bits in this entry? I think it's the reason the RSS feed for the community is broken.

It will be ok in the Rich Text, it's just in the preview that it will show you that it's broken. I can't tell from the post what you have in there that it's complaining about, but it looks like it's after the name, since it's showing me a weird symbol.

If you can paste what you have for the bits it's complaining about in a comment, with < raw-code > before it and < /raw-code > after it (but without the spaces) then I'll be able to see what's going on with it.

That's annoying - Dreamwidth help made it sound like it wouldn't try and interpret things if they're between raw-code tags, but then it has :(

Looking at the help for how you write those tags, maybe there's an extra space between the username and the > ?

Wow, that's a lot of HTML. I can't see what's wrong with them either. There's some weird HTML going on with the second one, but it shouldn't break anything. In fact, as those links are both just ordinary links I don't know why Dreamwidth has decided to interpret them as if you used < user > tags.

I asked thisbluespirit for help, because as the mod I thought she might be able to see the original text and notice something obvious. She's just as stumped, but came up with a good idea: could you delete all the Twitter links and the Instagram one that Dreamwidth is complaining about and just leave them as text? Those, plus the link to the website is going to be enough to be able to find those people.

I was also wondering if you composed your posts in something that converted them to HTML and then copied them into Dreamwidth. If so, you might be making your life harder, as there shouldn't be any need to know any HTML beyond being able to make changes to the posting template.

I've recreated your method and that explains why the user links look weird. They're fine in Rich Text, but in HTML it's added a load of HTML. I couldn't get all the extra HTML you have though, so I wonder if your notes app is adding a load of extra HTML and text (eg (“Title” in bold), which isn't in the template).

Interestingly, though, I pasted the template into Rich Text, then deleted all the user tags, then added one in Rich Text. When I changed to HTML it turns out I hadn't deleted them all and I got a similar complaint to the one in your post. If you go to edit your post and search in your browser for < user (without the space) and that finds something, then that's what's causing the problem.

I just wanted to let you know that while I have no idea of what's going on with the html in there either, I have altered the settings on the comm so that the feed now only displays the entry title and that seems to have by-passed whatever hitch was going on between the coding and the feed, so please don't let this put you off posting!

The one thing I'd recommend if Dreamwidth and/or the Notes app are being weird, though, is to paste your text into the html editor instead of the RTF - you can then switch straight to the RTF for actual editing, but doing that should strip the text of unwanted coding from the app.

some people have difficulty reading bold text

That's really interesting, I didn't know that. I went looking for more information and my Googling skills failed me. Do you know where I can find more about it?
