Creator's Summary: "Rose Tyler, you've faced clockwork droids, Slitheen and Cybermen, not to mention five different types of zombies and a megalomaniacal nightmare better known as the Emperor of the Daleks, and you're telling me you're afraid of some maths?"

Reasons for reccing: I must admit to having a particular fondness for fics that teach me things. I must also admit to... really not liking math that much; particularly algebra and logarithms (shudder) - I prefer to keep to chemistry, where it's safe! When I first read this fic, I was pleasantly surprised at just how much I ended up enjoying it. It's a beautifully crafted explanation of time, and the dangers of travelling in it; and even better - I found myself understanding it too! The back and forth between the Doctor and Rose is clever and witty and practically bounces along; and their characters practically shine. And I especially loved the vivid location that they find themselves in for most of the fic - I want to visit it, honestly!

Even if you're not the greatest fan of math, please do check this fic out. I just reread it, and thoroughly enjoyed myself all over again. Ironically enough, I'm in the back of my math class right now, avoiding work - hopefully the teacher will forgive me, since I'm technically learning about algebra? (No, probably not. Oh well.)

Aw, thanks very much! And oh my I was sooooo terrible at chemistry. I was glad to leave it behind. But it is fitting because this fic was also inspired by a set of vignettes called Chemistry Lessons which aside from the romantic entendre does actually have some very sweet lessons on chemistry.
