I'd been planning to rec this for the letter "U" anyway - UNIT counts as a character, doesn't it? - and now it also fits the monthly theme, because it has quite a bit of the Brig in it!

Reasons for reccing: This is completely hilarious. The annual UNIT picnic does not go as planned (or maybe it does?) and the fact that the Doctor "improved" the provisions ends up being the least of the Brig's problems. The story is well written and paints a lot of very funny images that made me laugh out loud, which is much appreciated these days.
