Reasons for reccing: Bonus rec for 1979 , when City of Death aired.  This is a fantastic premise. Ever thought about the fact that Clara wasn't the only who got turned into shards? Ever wanted to see a Clara shard in a Gothic style setting? :)  Then here you are.  I love all the little details, and definitely read the coda at the end.

Reasons for reccing:  For 1997 (when the book was published).  I haven't read The Dying Days but I *am* aware of this rather infamous bit at the end.  And the fic based on it.  This is a nice Missing Scene, in character for them both and definitely sweet. (I also won't deny I let out an audible giggle at the last line)

Reasons for reccing: Bonus rec for 2007 (when the first Sarah Jane Adventures episode aired, which featured Kelsey) and the monthly theme.  This is a well-written and interesting idea.  Hilarious and it's always nice seeing Frobisher in fics.

Reasons for reccing: Happy Doctor Who Day!! * takes a broom, tries to squeeze in one more rec* For 2019 ( When Resolution aired).  So, if you've seen the episode, you are probably aware of the UNIT mention. Or what is said to have happened to it.   This fic is wonderful and captures the characters' voices well.  What a great idea and these three are a good team.

 Title: Sand and Water

Reasons for reccing: Bonus rec for 1996 (since it's when the novel was published).  Sands of Time might be my favorite Fifth Doctor novel ( well, it or Cold Fusion).  And this is a lovely, in-character missing scene for it.  The images are detailed and vivid,  and it's actually a bit heartbreaking at points.

This is a thoughtful, well-done character moment set after The Curse of Fenric.    In character and it definitely makes sense the kind of questions Ace would have after the events of that story.

Reasons for reccing: For the 60th Anniversary event.  For the year 2007 ( it's when the episodes aired and related to them).  

As someone who is currently doing a rewatch of the series three 3- parter,  the episodes do leave a lot of questions and room for Gap Filler.   And this fic is a good example,  namely what Leo was doing during the year.   This is very IC,   and fascinating.

Reasons for reccing:  For Rec Bingo. Box- Isolation/Negative Space.  

So initially I wasn't sure what exactly this box entailed (had to look up a definition for Negative space to check), but I thought about this fic.  This is weird and atmospheric,  and given the premise makes the reader actually wonder what's going on.   And love the mention of Steven's nightmares still being having to be alone for eternity , which given his introduction makes a lot of sense.
