Creator's Summary: Jamie, right around the time of Culloden - shortly before meeting the Doctor for the first time.
Characters/Pairings: Jamie McCrimmon
Reasons for reccing: Though I'm mainly a fic reader, I thought I'd get in a bit of fan art as well, after this community has inspired me to go looking for art on my favourites on DeviantArt. This is a wonderful drawing of Jamie at the time of Culloden in 1746. He's in Highland garb and prepared for battle. I love the care taken to portray his costume, Jamie himself looks just right, and his tragically-defiant expression, stance, and the tattered flags on the background all point to how the rebellion is doing at this point.
Besides my seasonal theme character claim, this also doubles for the monthly theme of history!
