Title: Always a Song
Creator:
Saimain
Rating: All Ages
Word Count/Length/Size: 1100x718
Creator's Summary: A commissioned painting of the Eighth Doctor and River on a muddy battlefield, but only one of them is really there. Inspired by a scene from the heartbreaking and amazing "Dark Eyes" audio series; the quote is from the TV episode "The Husbands of River Song."
Characters/Pairings: Eighth Doctor/River Song
Warnings/Notes: None.
Reasons for reccing: Okay I admit, I'm a sucker for this pairing. Eight is my favorite Doctor and the moment he met River Song on the Big Finish audios I was enamored by them. Anyway, this piece is so lovely. It's touching and beautiful and could totally happen. The artist displays a lovely moment of comfort from River (from the data core, no doubt) to Eight. It's beautiful and sad. I love that the black and white color scheme choice here too. It definitely evokes the perfect mood for the subject matter.
