Rec: [fic] Long Leggity Beasty by Singe (Singe_Addams)
Title: Long Leggity Beasty
Creator:
Singe_Addams (Singe)
Rating: Teen
Word Count/Length/Size: 4804 words
Creator's Summary: A Halloween story! This is set the October after the Doctor abruptly and mysteriously leaves Sarah Jane. His return leaves her feeling somewhat drained. (Yes, vampire AU.)
Characters/Pairings: Fourth Doctor/Sarah Jane Smith, the Brigadier, Harry Sullivan, Drax, Romana II
Warnings/Notes: As it says, a vampire AU - mind the tags.
Reasons for reccing: This is a wonderfully dark, creepy and funny fic that meets both of this month's themes in one excellent work. I love the energy and humour of it (particularly Singe's capturing of Sarah's voice), as well as the sinister weirdness of the concept. It's a really unusual and entertaining read, and I highly recommend it even if maybe you're not always into AUs. It also fits the seasonal challenge as well.
