tardis_library | New Seasonal Challenge: Claim a Character

My apologies for slipping up at the beginning of the week, but thanks to everyone who took part in the Mind the Gap challenge. I'll do any reward banners at the same time as the end of year monthly theme banners in the New Year. In the meantime, here is

tardis_library's new seasonal challenge:

Claim A Character

We're giving you another chance to claim a favourite character and show them off via shiny recs. The rules are pretty simple - claim any canon character from any corner of the Doctor Who universe and rec 5-15 works featuring that character.

The challenge is open from now until midnight in your timezone on Friday 13th March 2020, although please wait until your claim has been approved to start posting.

How It Works
1. Claim your character here. You may claim any canonical Whoniverse character you choose, however major or minor.

The only caveats are:

* you can't claim a character that someone else has already claimed (it will be first come, first served in the interests of variety)

* purely on a practical level, make sure you feel confident you can find at least 5 existing works (of any type) you would be happy to rec for the character you've chosen!

2. You may post each rec individually, or in smaller grouped rec lists (e.g. 3 posts of five recs) in one post. If you make 3+ recs per post, please remember to use a cut.

Any works featuring your chosen character are eligible - just make sure that they feature fairly prominently in the works you rec for the challenge. It's fine if other characters are included.

You may include ships featuring the character or not as you please. Crossovers, fusions, or AUs featuring your character are also fine - whatever you feel showcases or explores this character in a way you think people here will enjoy!

Don't forget to tag each post with "other: seasonal challenge."

As an alternative option to vary things up a little for those who would prefer it - you may, once you've posted five recs for your first claim, make a second claim (and a third once you've reached ten) and post 15 recs for 3 different characters (or 10 for 2).

(Do not try to claim three characters in your initial sign up, though - only the first will be allocated to you, to keep things fair.)

I've been going back and forth on this because there already are a lot of recs for him, but I think I still want to do Twelve this round...
