Reasons for reccing: For the October theme of "ghosts". This is one of my favorite Twelve/Clara fics! I love seeing Clara slowly unravelling the mystery of her family and wrestling with her feelings for a ghost. Which, ghost!Twelve is fantastic and I really love the backstory for him in this fic. There's just so much lovely angst and pining for Clara and Twelve in this, which I am very much into, and the perfect happy ending for them too.
